What do I need?
There are only 2 required pieces of equipment: Mouthpiece and cleats.
Players need a Mouthpiece that allows them to speak and a set of cleats. Most players purchase soccer style cleats while some purchase football cleats.
Scrum caps are Optional:
Scrum caps & headguards - are designed to protect the head and ears from scrapes, cuts, abrasions and cauliflower ear. Scrum caps are good for reducing bleeding head wounds but they are NOT designed to prevent concussion, a common misconception.
Armor is Optional:
Some players choose to use body armor such as padded shirts. These offer padding but cannot have hard plastics on them. This is an optional choice of the player.
